The CSRA Professional Barbers Association was founded with a single conviction: that the barbering profession in the Central Savannah River Area deserves a unified, professional home.
How It Began
A Vision Born from the Chair
For years, barbers across Augusta, Aiken, and the surrounding CSRA communities have worked with skill, dedication, and pride — building careers, shaping communities, and passing the craft to the next generation. Yet despite their contributions, they lacked what professionals in other trades have long enjoyed: a collective voice, shared resources, and a professional association that fights for them.
The CSRA Professional Barbers Association was founded to change that. Organized as a nonprofit, CPBA exists to serve every licensed barber, barber student, instructor, and barbershop owner in the region — regardless of where they work, how long they've been in the trade, or what stage of their career they're in.
We believe that when barbers are educated, connected, and empowered, the entire community benefits. That belief is the foundation of everything we do.

For too long, we have worked in isolation — each shop, each barber, each student navigating the industry alone. The CSRA Professional Barbers Association was founded to change that. Together, we will build something that serves not just us, but the next generation of barbers who are watching what we do right now.

The Central Savannah River Area spans the Georgia–South Carolina border, anchored by Augusta, GA and Aiken, SC. It is a region with deep roots, strong communities, and a rich tradition of barbering. CPBA was founded here because this is where we live, work, and serve — and because the barbers of the CSRA deserve an association that is truly their own.
